When you first open FrameLog, onboarding guides you through choosing a split type, selecting your weak points, and reviewing your days before confirming. If you used Quick Start, your split is already set up — customize it anytime in the Split tab.
Can I customize my workout days and exercises?
Yes. Go to the Split tab, tap any day to expand it, then add, remove, reorder, or edit exercises. You can rename days, set target sets and rep ranges per exercise, and create custom exercises.
What is a weak point?
Weak points are the muscle groups or areas you want to prioritize. FrameLog tracks whether you are hitting enough weekly volume for those areas and may suggest exercises or templates that target them.
How do I start and log a workout?
Go to the Train or Today tab and tap Start Workout. Tap Start Set for the first set or Add Next Set for the ones after, enter your weight and reps, and tap Save Set.
Can I edit a set I already logged?
Yes. During an active workout, tap any logged set row to open the edit modal, change the weight or reps, and tap Update Set.
Can I log bodyweight exercises?
Yes. For bodyweight exercises, you can leave the weight blank or enter your bodyweight. FrameLog supports reps-only sets for movements like pull-ups and dips.
What if I close the app mid-workout?
Your active session is saved automatically as you log each set. Reopening the app should resume your workout where you left off.
How does PR tracking work?
FrameLog automatically detects a Personal Record when you log a set that beats your previous best for that exercise, using estimated one-rep max (e1RM). A gold PR badge may appear during the workout when a new record is detected.
Where do I see my history?
Tap an exercise to open its detail screen with history, best sets, and trends. The History area shows completed workouts — tap a session to see the sets logged.
How do I switch between lb and kg?
Go to Settings and toggle the weight unit. The change applies throughout the app. Workout data is stored with its original unit and converted for display where needed.
What is FrameLog Pro?
FrameLog Pro is an optional subscription that unlocks premium training features such as Smart Progression, advanced analytics, weekly training reports, weak point intelligence, premium split templates, PR timeline features, and advanced history tools.
Will I lose my workouts if I do not subscribe?
No. Core workout logging, workout history, and essential tracking features remain available without Pro. Pro adds additional training intelligence and premium tools on top of your workout data.
How do I subscribe or cancel?
Tap a Pro feature or open the upgrade screen inside FrameLog. Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. To cancel: iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → FrameLog → Cancel Subscription. You keep Pro access until the end of your billing period.
I subscribed but Pro is not unlocked.
Open the upgrade screen or Settings and tap Restore Purchases. If that does not work, email us at northstarappstudio@gmail.com.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple. Submit a request at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Where is my workout data stored?
FrameLog is designed as a local-first app. Your workout history is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to FrameLog servers.
How do I back up my data?
Enable iCloud Backup on your iPhone by going to Settings → your name → iCloud → iCloud Backup. Local app data may be included in standard iOS device backups depending on your device and backup settings.
How do I delete all my data?
Use the reset option in Settings to permanently delete workouts, PRs, split, and profile data from your device. This cannot be undone. Deleting the app may also remove locally stored data.
The app is crashing or will not load.
Force close and reopen FrameLog, restart your iPhone, and make sure your device is running a supported iOS version. If the issue continues, email us with your iPhone model, iOS version, and a description of the problem.
My data disappeared after an update.
Email us at northstarappstudio@gmail.com with your device model and iOS version. Avoid reinstalling the app first, because reinstalling may permanently delete local data.
I cannot find an exercise.
Use the search bar in the exercise picker. If the exercise is not listed, create a custom exercise with your own name and muscle group.
